Sydney, Australia, February 21, 2013 — CargoWise®, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSPs), announced the successful adoption of its cloud-based version of ediEnterprise by New Delhi-based freight forwarder Transpole Logistics.
Transpole Logistics founder and director Anant Kumar Choudhary says ediEnterprise from CargoWise was selected from a field of local and international software vendors, because it is both easy to use and, as a cloud-based service, is perfectly aligned with the company’s rapid expansion plans in the Asian region.
“We are continuously expanding our network, and ediEnterprise is perfectly suited to roll out in start-up operations in new territories,” Choudhary says. “Transpole has deployed ediEnterprise in all our start-up operations, from Hong Kong, to China, Korea and Malaysia, and we’ve found it is an excellent platform for ensuring that we maintain consistent service parameters across our global operations.”
ediEnterprise is currently delivering customer and operations information from a single database to more than 300 Transpole staff members in 18 different locations across Asia; increasing transparency, improving productivity and enhancing customer service through automation of functions such as order tracking. Ultimately, the implementation will be expanded to deliver enhanced data access to more than 1,000 Transpole staff personnel.
Mike Coney, Vice President of Business Development for CargoWise in Asia, says Transpole Logistics adoption of ediEnterprise will enable the company to deliver on its bullish expansion plans while keeping pace with the demands of the global market.
“Transpole needed to implement a system which would both standardize operational procedures and deliver significant productivity improvements across multiple continents,” Coney says. “By operating from a single cloud-accessible database, the company has been able to remain cost competitive while providing a consistent level of client service in the highly competitive world of freight forwarding and logistics services.”
