Chicago, US, June 21, 2013 — CargoWise®, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSPs), announced JAS Worldwide is set to adopt CargoWise software across all JAS offices globally following a highly successful pilot in the company’s Indian, UK and Australian offices.
Project Everest is part of a companywide initiative called GlobalOne, aimed at boosting the level of integration, harmonization and productivity growth. The CargoWise implementation will consist of extensive business process reengineering to standardize work processes between geographically separate offices.
According to Marco Rebuffi, President and CEO of JAS Worldwide, the software will bring the entire company into a new era of constant improvement by streamlining communication and consolidating the company’s operations on a single global platform.
“I’m very happy we’ve designed this multi-year contract with CargoWise, a world market leader in supplying software to logistics companies such as JAS,” says Rebuffi. “This is the beginning of a collaboration that we know is going to be fruitful for us and CargoWise, and we are looking forward to many years of collaboration and mutual success for both our companies.”
Following the signing of the deal, CargoWise CEO Richard White said he is very excited about the opportunities for growth, which will be enabled by JAS’s adoption of CargoWise on a global scale, and he’s looking forward to working closely with JAS as the rollout progresses.
“This is going to revolutionize JAS. It’s going to automate their business in a way that’s never been done before. It’s going to drive their productivity and it’s going to enable them to do things that no other forwarder has done to date,” says White. “It covers all parts of their business – everything from core accounting through operations, administration, and sales management, and uses every part of our logistics systems – all of our ERP components and all of the vertical components that we supply to the logistics industry.”
