The whys and hows on the certification experience for CargoWise users

CargoWise Certifications give new starters a structured and reliable way to learn the system from day one. By completing the certifications, new employees quickly build a solid understanding of key processes and functionality. This shortens onboarding time, reduces training gaps, and helps them become productive sooner. 

Users can get started right away at https://wisetechacademy.com/explore/certifications/, beginning with the first level of certification, CargoWise Certified Operator. Because everything is selfpaced, staff can progress at a time that suits their workload and learning style. Your staff can log in to WiseTech Academy with single sign-on via CargoWise or My Account, using their CargoWise credentials. 

You do not need to recertify as a CCO if you are certified to a higher level (CCS or CCP). Recertification is only required when your highest certification level is due to expire.

Your highest level certificate may not be due to expire within the next 3 months. Please check the expiry date of the highest level of your certification. If it is due to expire within 3 months and you have not received a link to your recertification exam, please raise an eRequest with Product: ENT, Criticality: CR9, Service: RPT.

Yes. You can re-sit all exams after 4 hours and may do so as many times as you require.

Only your latest exam results will show, regardless of whether you have previously passed or not.

Each pathway progresses through Operator and Specialist levels, then all pathways finish at the single Professional level. Learners build foundational capability at Operator level, develop deeper expertise at Specialist level, and ultimately progress to CargoWise Certified Professional (CCP). All five pathways lead to the same CCP certification.

Yes. There is one CargoWise Certified Professional (CCP) certification. All five certification pathways ultimately lead to the same CCP credential. Regardless of the pathway taken to reach Professional level, the CCP learning is designed to broaden your knowledge and ensure a thorough understanding across the wider CargoWise platform.

Cross-functional certifications are designed for learners who work across multiple areas of CargoWise and want broad platform knowledge – this pathway is suitable for CargoWise super users, consultants, partners, administrators, or internal CargoWise support specialists.

Job-role certifications are designed for professionals who specialize in a specific functional area day to day, such as Forwarding, Customs, Warehouse or Accounting, and provide a more focused certification pathway aligned to their role and job function.

Learners should choose the pathway that best aligns with their primary role and responsibilities within CargoWise.

The time required varies depending on the pathway and certification level.

Job-role pathways:

• Operator: approximately 4 hours

• Specialist: approximately 15+ hours (depending on pathway)

• Professional: approximately 20+ hours

Cross-functional pathway:

• CargoWise Certified Operator (CCO): approximately 12 hours

• CargoWise Certified Specialist (CCS): approximately 20+ hours

• CargoWise Certified Professional (CCP): approximately 20+ hours

Yes. If you wish to pursue a different pathway, including one aligned to a new job function, you can enroll in it at any time. As competencies are not shared between pathways, you will need to begin the new pathway at the Operator level.

Yes. Learners can enroll in more than one certification pathway. However, each pathway is completed independently.

Yes. Existing certifications remain valid and continue to follow the standard recertification requirements.

To have your certification or previous results moved to your new employer and email address, please raise an eRequest with Product: ENT, Criticality: CR9, Service: RPT.

Yes. Employers and Domain Admins can view both Cross-functional and Job-role certifications in reporting.

Learners continue within the same pathway as they progress through their certification journey. For example, a learner who completes the Certified Forwarding Operator certification would progress to the Certified Forwarding Specialist certification.

To reset My Account credentials, please reset your password.

“View All” access is required to view the certification status of your staff. If you do not have access, please notify your company’s Systems Administrator. If you do have “View All” access, log into My Account > My Profile > My Certifications to search for your staff certifications.

Learners with an existing Cross-functional certification will remain on that pathway. To pursue a Job-role certification (Forwarding, Customs, Warehouse, Accounting etc.), you will need to begin that new pathway at the Operator level.
