Sydney, Australia, December 13, 2012 — CargoWise®, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSPs) announced South African freight forwarder Global Logistics Alliance has improved productivity by 15 percent, reduced costs and improved service delivery following the successful adoption of ediEnterprise. Implemented over a period of three months, ediEnterprise replaced an internally developed customer database that had been in operation since the company’s inception. The implementation has resulted in a significant improvement in reporting, customer service and data handling.
The software rollout began across the company’s offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town following a four week training program, reports Global Logistics Alliance Managing Director Janine Hammond. “Staff rapidly embraced the new system, as it provides modules that are specific to the requirements of different divisions within the business. The greatest enhancement since changing to ediEnterprise is the amount of data and reports that we are easily able to generate at a drop of a hat. These reports help us to measure our progress month on month, and keep our clients abreast of multitudes of different information they frequently require.”
According to Moshe Zulberg, Marketing & Training Manager with CargoWise’s South Africa-based partner Compu-Clearing, the Global Logistics Alliance implementation demonstrates the flexibility of the ediEnterprise system, and its suitability for both small-and-medium sized companies through to large global freight forwarding corporations. “Global Logistics Alliance clearly proves that small-to-medium sized companies can derive great benefits from the ediEnterprise platform,” says Zulberg. “Not only were our operations able to install all systems and train all staff, they went live within three months of signing. They are now fully live on all systems and are providing a differentiated level of service to all customers.”
Volodya Bilanovsky, VP Partner Management for CargoWise, says the successful adoption of ediEnterprise by Global Logistics Alliance is further demonstration of the extent to which ediEnterprise makes it possible for smaller freight forwarders to obtain access to highly sophisticated business tools, such as web-based tracking and electronic invoices and statements. “The successful implementation of ediEnterprise at Global Logistics Alliance demonstrates that the ediEnterprise solution can drive business value for organizations of all sizes in the African continent,” Bilanovsky says.
