What’s new in WiseTech Academy – October 2025

As logistics professionals enter the October peak season, global supply chains are being hit by a perfect storm of conditions. The surge in seasonal freight activity is now further complicated by new tariff policies, volatile consumer demand and escalating geopolitical tensions.

This October, we’re pleased to introduce three new courses, each developed to strengthen your professional capabilities. Whether your goal is to deepen your understanding of warehouse and inventory operations, achieve USA Air Export Specialist Certification, or explore ethical procurement in the tea trade, these courses offer valuable insights.  

1) Inventory Management Foundations (Microcredential)  – GLOBAL 

Inefficient inventory control can disrupt operations, inflate costs and slow down entire supply chains. This course builds a strong foundation in inventory methods, stock planning, and forecasting tools used across in modern distribution centers. 
 
Designed for professionals working in supply chain, warehousing or distribution roles, this course explores how warehouse systems and scanning tools support daily operations. It covers key functional areas such as safety, compliance, picking and dispatch. The course also introduces lean and continuous improvement practices to enhance warehouse processes over time. 

2) USA Air Export Specialist Certification – UNITED STATES 

Managing air freight exports is one of the most complex and highly regulated areas of logistics. This certification program is structured to give export forwarders, shippers and industry professionals in leadership roles a clear and comprehensive understanding of U.S. air export operations, compliance requirements and international frameworks. 
 
Learners will study key aspects of air export processes, including air freight operations, licensing requirements, international conventions and the roles of relevant regulatory bodies. Additionally, the course addresses sustainability, safety and security standards, along with shipper responsibilities such as export financing, free trade agreements, Incoterms, contracting and insurance. 

3) Tea as a Global Commodity: Trade, Sourcing and Ethical Procurement – GLOBAL 

The global tea trade spans centuries, shaped by expanding markets and growing expectations for ethical supply chains. This short course helps professionals in global trade, procurement and supply chain management understand how tea moves from growers to markets and what responsible sourcing looks like. 

Learners will explore the world’s major tea-producing regions, the trade policies that influence sourcing decisions, and the commercial practices that drive the tea industry today. The course also examines ethical standards, supplier relationships and seasonal factors, which affect tea production and procurement around the world.
