Sydney, Australia, February 16, 2012 — CargoWise®, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSP) announces it has signed an agreement with Lasso Logistics Pty Ltd to implement their hosted ediEnterprise solution.
Lasso Logistics operates across Australia and China, offering a combination of product sourcing, manufacturing, consultation and supply chain services for both internal and external clients, supporting their need to develop a product or service from concept to door in any aspect of the supply chain they need assistance with. Lasso sought to maximise efficiencies across all aspects of their expanding international operations in order to sustain their unique business model’s high levels of customer service and diverse range of products and services.
Lasso’s General Manager, Shannon Nipperess says, “We needed the combination of consistently updated software, supported by up-to-date hardware, and have it seamlessly work to supply staff and clients with real time information as if we were all in the same office.
“The key area to increase our efficiencies for real time information was our shipping arm. We had shipping software in the past to support documentation and accounting at a primitive level, but we needed much more from our system for backend support with software able to change and grow with us.”
“Technology is the key for our medium size business to achieve big results. Keeping down time to a minimum level was important for us, without the need to have an in-house IT department, or the capital outlay for expensive servers. As a medium size business, we have the option to work with an efficient and dynamic software system, at a price that is viable for our business.
“The hosted ediEnterprise package allows us to add or take away units and users as we please. CargoWise take care of any system upgrades, and with their exceptional IT support, we have full confidence that all our enterprise technology needs will be met. Our down time has been minimal and the communication and support from CargoWise has been fantastic. In today’s world of business it is refreshing to deal with a big company that offers small company customer service.”
Debbie Boyce, CargoWise Vice President Business Development – Australasia says, “Our goal is to give our customers complete flexibility through our on-demand fully-hosted model where they control the costs, and they can easily manage their business as it grows across their entire logistics supply chain.” “We specialize in integration from our system to and from third party customer systems. This greatly reduces the technology related overheads for the customer allowing them to present their customers a complete IT solution.”
